Job Description

As the Team Lead, Institutional Sales at Coronation Securities, you will drive the origination and sale of Coronation Securities’ products and services to institutional investors and corporate organizations. This includes positioning the firm’s equities and fixed income trading capabilities, research insights, execution services, and investment products as value-added solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and develop relationships with Institutional investors and investment
consultants in assigned institutional market channels.
• Drive sales and achieve targets in equities, bonds, treasury bills, and other listed securities for
institutional clients.
• Present Coronation Securities’ trading capabilities, research insights, and market access to
institutional investors; close mandates for trade execution and investment advisory.
• Monitor market developments, economic trends, and trading volumes to anticipate client needs
and offer relevant brokerage solutions.
• Consistently enhances the credibility of the organization through its customer interactions
• Leads new business meetings and closes sales to institutional investors and consultants.
• Ensure client onboarding and trade activities are compliant with SEC, NGX, and internal policies

• Leverages the organization’s relationship with existing institutional accounts by developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives.
• Lead sales pitches, client presentations, and negotiations to close deals. • Ensures channels (physical or digital such as mobile, web, physical branch, human-centered virtual channels etc.) are maintained and operationally available to provide services.
• Educates customers on the digital products and services offered by the coronation.
• Keep up to date with any regulatory or statutory changes and policies that might affect the organisation
• Stays up to date on the new instruments and product types being traded, and new ways to transact instruments • Keep abreast on the nature and characteristics of investment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in institutional sales within a stockbroking or investment firm.

• Strong understanding of capital market instruments (equities, bonds, treasury bills, etc.) and trading strategies.

• Registered Sponsored Individual with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) preferred.

• Proven ability to lead and grow institutional sales portfolios.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Solid track record of closing complex institutional deals and managing long-term client relationships.

• Sound knowledge of market regulations, compliance standards, and risk management practices.

• Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities
